The Prodigy Colt

An excerpt from an RP with ~Borderline-Stables:

_{Rakou narrowed his eyes as Nino walked out, Red cross shining on her face as she didn't even glance at the pair. "Does the little one like his gift?" She said lightly, a fanged smile on her features. Her own bird was hopping around on her back, tilting its head and looking at the pair with deep dark eyes. Rakou growled, eyes widening. "Whyyy wouldddd youuu wannnt tooo knowwww..." He hissed, standing in front of Hallisha protectively.
Hallisha peered around from behind him and Akramis stood up happily. Grunting happily he pranced up beside Rakou with No in his jaws and Mine on his back. Mine fluttered a little bit and flew short circles between his ears. Hallisha called him back softly and he glared. "No," he growled and trotted back to Hallisha.
Nino lowered her head and smiled when Akramis trotted closer, but pinned her ears when Hallisha called him back. "You don't always have to listen to them, little one" She said, fangs glinting in the low light as she spoke. At that Rakou pinned his ears, stomping a hoof on the ground. "Whhy are yoouu really hereeee....." he said lowly, voice so controlled he looked like he wasn't angry.
Akramis's ears perked, he didn't have to listen? He liked that. He could be his own boss, he puffed out his chest and strutted forward by his sire. He watched his father stomp a hoof and tried to imitate it but fell. Growling he stood back up and shook his mane angrily. Rearing he struck out tiny hooves, obviously showing off to the mare.
Rakou narrowed his eyes at his son, but shifted his gaze to the ma when she tried to step backwards. "I want youuu too leavveee..." He snarled, then frowned as she flicked an ear. "Even if your older son is in danger?" She purred sedately, smiling and letting her fangs show. If she could just get them away from Akramis...
Hallisha's eyes widened in horror, she had just about forgotten Raxx! Quiltily she looked over at Rakou, "Where is Tragedy?" She shifted her gaze downward, how could she lose track of her eldest son! Raxx had a nose for trouble, and it hadn't shown itself often, but it often did at dangerous times like this. She nervously pawed the dirt.
Nino smiled and turned her head towards the north. "I would hurry..." She said, blinking as Rakou glared at the mare before taking off towards where she nodded. Nino then turned to Hallisha, smiling. "Won't you go? He will need help..." She added- eyes and cross glowing.
Hallisha was worried thoroughly and nodded, turning to the south she galloped after Rakou. Akramis was left alone with the mare. He grinned and magma pooled out of his mouth and down to his hooves. He pranced up to the mare and lifted his head high. "Mine," he called over his bird and it perched upon his head. This was the mare who had given him Mine. He grinned even wider.
Niño watched Hallisha go, then lowered her head to the colt. "So little one... Would you like to grow up with me?" She said, smiling beautifully. She would so love to raise him... The prodigy child... Her own bird hopped off her back then flew circles around Akramis and her, Niño's cross shone brightly... Contrasting her pale eyes.}
